How to Set Up robots.txt in the App

You can click on Set up robots.txt and our app will automatically create it.

Alternatively, you can do this manually

1. copying the code from Robots Setup page

2. Go to Shopify Admin, then navigate to Online Store, then click on Themes

3. Find your published theme and click the "Actions" button, then select "Edit code"

4. In the left sidebar, find the Templates folder and click on it, then click "New file"

5. Insert "robots.txt.liquid" as the new file name and create the file

6. Copy and paste the complete merged content shown below into the new file (this includes your previous robots.txt file content plus the new AI discovery lines - this step is CRITICAL!)

7. Click the "Save" button to save your changes (Your store won't be AI-discoverable until you save!)
